Hailing from Puerto Rico,
accomplished pianist and composer Jose Negroni has garnered
recognition in the world of Jazz. A disciple of the legendary
multi-instrumentalist salsa and Latin Jazz great, Papo Lucca,
Negroni’s career spans over 16 years as a teacher in his island’s
Music Conservatory. Negroni’s Trio consists of his son Nomar
Negroni, a gifted and powerful drummer, and alternating guest bass
players including John Benítez, Marco Panascia, Michael Bordelon and
Jonathan Estes, among others. "On the Way", to be released
tonight, is their sixth CD; their fifth, "Just Three" was a
Grammy nominee for Best Latin Jazz CD.

Franceschini is an American jazz saxophonist, songwriter, and
arranger. He has appeared on more than eighty albums of other
recording artists, including those of Mike Stern, Paul Simon, and
Willie Colón. In addition to composing and arranging Jazz and Latin
Jazz, Franceschini has performed as a touring and recording sideman
with Mike Stern,Paul Simon, Celine Dion, Tito Puente, BeBe Winans,
Ricky Martin, Lionel Richie, Eddie Palmieri, and many others. In 2001
Franceschini performed on Mike Stern's Grammy-Nominated album
“Voices.”
